Education and Wellness

Various activities and events are planned throughout the year to renew the caregiver’s spirit and energy and educate caregivers on topics and issues affecting them. These activities and events include:

Annual Caregiver Educational Conference
The Caregiver Educational Conference helps educate families and professional caregivers on topics such as behavior management, caregiver wellness, effective communication, legal issues and more. Offered annually, speakers include local experts, leading researchers, and renowned physicians. Check back for details about the 2006 Educational Conference.

Annual Caregiver Forum
The annual Caregiver Forum provides caregivers a fun, relaxing time away from their daily caregiving duties and teaches them ways to properly care for their health while caring for their loved one. In collaboration with Share the Care, the 2005 Forum is September 20-22 at the Mission Inn in Howey-in-the-Hills. Download Registration Form

Quarterly Workshops
Offered four times a year, professionals in the aging community speak on issues affecting caregivers today. Each workshop offers caregivers the opportunity to meet experienced professionals in a relaxed environment, where they can ask questions and talk openly about specific issues and behaviors.
